Then join us and lead the charge in elevating our Water/Wastewater team both statewide and nationwide.The Associate Vice-President is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, including research, conceptual and final design, and construction. This role involves providing hands-on training to strengthen the team's core skills and requires the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.Strong communication is required as this position acts as a liaison between the administrative, financial, and technical teams within our firm, with consideration of market conditions, personnel requirements, and industry trends. Besides leading a team of engineers and technical staff, this individual is also expected to actively participate in professional and community organizations, helping to build and maintain partnerships within the communities served by our firm.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate proposals, budgets, and client contracts.Guide, mentor, and oversee the technical aspects of projects, including detailed engineering design, calculations, report preparation, permitting (local and state), and presentations to clients, public bodies, and community groups.Prepare responses to client RFQs and solicitations.Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, government officials, and community leaders.Manage a team of project managers, ensuring that project tasks, budgets, and schedules are effectively coordinated and monitored.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of company design and production standards.Actively engage with professional associations and civic groups within the community.Lead the technical and professional development of project teams.Oversee or conduct investigations related to water storage, permits, or other compliance and regulatory matters.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas, or the ability to obtain this certification within six months.A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing water and wastewater teams.At least 15 years of experience in the design of potable water and wastewater systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, municipal utility districts, public officials, and community leaders.Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.Active participation in professional and community organizations.Benefits:Joining a well-established team within the Texas market; 60 years of technical excellence and widely recognised.ENR Design Firm of the Year - TX & Louisiana.Extremely strong backlog of projects.Strong compensation package that includes overtime and a great bonus package.
