Reporting to the Health Services Officer, you will:Manage the Health Services Operations function, act as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance on Health Services departmental operationsManage the Health Services Division’s regulatory reporting functionManage, lead, supervise, mentor, and train assigned staffABOUT THE TEAMWe are responsible for the overall management and oversight of our members' health care. Duties include enforcing safety standards, controlling costs and ensuring that members receive the best treatment available.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEExcellent communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teamsSkill in the development and management of new programs, policies & processes for seamless integration with current operationsProcess-oriented, with strength in program and project managementPassion for championing system redesign and the advancement of models of careAbility to lead without direct authority and thrive within a matrixed environmentFamiliarity with Medi-Cal state regulations and processesA plus: familiarity with NCQA and MedicareWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFULKnowledge of:Methods and techniques of research, data collection, analysis, and reportingPrinciples and practices of managed careHealthcare regulatory processesTitle 22, Knox Keene, Medicaid or Medicare, entitlement programs, and related regulationsPrinciples and practices of program and project managementAbility to:

Develop work plans and workflows and organize and prioritize activitiesAct as a technical resource and interpret, apply and explain complex principles, policies, procedures, regulations, terms, processes, and programs related to area of assignmentTrain, mentor, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff and motivate staff to achieve goals and objectivesOrganize and prioritize the work of others, delegate effectively, and follow up on work assignmentsProvide leadership and facilitate and lead meetings and projects

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related fieldA minimum of six years of healthcare operations experience across a variety of operational departments including a minimum of three years of experience in a managed care setting, which included some lead or supervisory responsibility (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

OTHER INFORMATIONWe are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).Monterey County Pay Range: $109,053 — $174,491 USDMariposa County Pay Range: $99,234 — $158,787 USDSan Benito County Pay Range: $109,053 — $174,491 USDOUR BENEFITS

Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees.
