The Transportation Planner is a pivotal role within the Supply Chain. Planners will be responsible for running their own business with a specified carrier portfolio, managing day-to-day operations, and driving continuous improvement activities. This includes all service-related metrics and financial-related activities. The COVID pandemic placed a revolutionary spotlight on the transportation and logistics industry. Day-to-day responsibilities will include partnering with our carrier base and internal stakeholders to deliver optimal cost and service for the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage Transportation Management System (TMS) and resolve technical issues with internal and external parties.Ensure that carriers are adhering to contractual commitments.Lead resolution on operational/tactical scheduling, pick-up, and delivery issues.Serve as the cross-functional leader for carrier and Henkel shipping point engagement.Manage scorecard meetings with carriers and communicate performance.Ensure that key KPIs are meeting standards & hold carriers accountable through action plan process.Utilize reporting tools in data analysis.Create new standard operating procedures where appropriate.Collaborate with Procurement, Customer Excellence, and Warehouse teams to ensure the right carrier mix to maximize service.
