Position Summary:
The Director of Permanency Services monitors and improves the delivery of permanency services provided by KVC Kansas employees.
Location:
Topeka
Education:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university in the field of social work or related field.
Experience:
At least three years of experience in child welfare.
Licensure/Certification:
Driver's license and auto insurance.
Essential Duties:
Build a safe, secure, and family-centered child welfare system connected to the community, using evidence-based practices.
Available 24/7 to support Permanency staff, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and contract terms.
Responsible for staff performance, paperwork, and meeting timelines.
Participates in meetings, court hearings, and consultations, and provides culturally sensitive, strengths-based feedback to clients and staff.
Supervises Social Work interns, manages relationships with DCF, Court, and partners, and monitors program budgets.
Oversees staff meetings, case supervision, performance appraisals, and staff morale, while providing necessary training and support.
