The Commercial Electrician, will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in commercial settings. They will ensure that all work complies with relevant codes and safety regulations. Responsibilities include installing conduit systems, hanging light fixtures, wiring feeder systems, and terminating electrical panels.Essential Functions:Layout, install, and repair electrical systems, components, and fixtures using tools and following electrical drawings and codes.Inspect and troubleshoot electrical equipment to identify hazards or defects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs using test equipment and hand tools.Test electrical systems for compatibility and safety, using tools such as circuit tracers, volt meters, and ohmmeters.Install and terminate panel boards, transformers, motor control centers, and motors.Perform work from ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolds, and roofs to install or maintain wiring and fixtures.Place conduit or tubing in walls or partitions and pull wires to complete circuits.Connect wires to electrical components such as circuit breakers and transformers.Complete physically demanding tasks, such as trenching and moving heavy equipment.Instruct apprentices and helpers in proper electrical installation practices.Assist with administrative tasks, including safety analysis and reports.Position Qualifications:Licensed electrician or 3-5 years of relevant experience.Ability to repetitively lift and carry 50 lbs.Must comply with PPE, drug, and background screening requirements.Working Conditions:Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions.
