Business Need / Purpose of Role:
The Regional Sales Representative will develop and implement strategic business plans that will maximize profits and growth opportunities within the northeast region of the United States. This role will be responsible for identifying new markets/businesses and formulate sales strategies to develop close relationships in the regional Municipal market of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming, which will require up to 50% travel within this region.
Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:
Provide passionate and visionary Sales leadership and guidance to achieve the revenue, market share, and profit growth objectives within the company's targeted Sales Plan. Take leadership of the business development plans in key markets the Company participates in along with any new markets identified. Coordinate with appropriate departments to develop a strategic business plan that covers all aspects of new business development including resourcing and operational needs, budgets, market positioning, potential partners and potential clients. Develop a sales plan and strategy to strengthen client relationships, build awareness and increase reputation in the identified industries. Successfully develop and manage Channel to market to achieve sales performance and growth. Implement and monitor this plan to achieve agreed sales target. Active involvement in all aspects of the sales cycle - providing accurate and timely sales forecasts. Seek out, analyze and communicate market intelligence and regional trends. Manage representative/distributor sales channels to provide the Company thorough project coverage within the designated territory. Use Company provided resources such as to monitor bid opportunities and assure thorough project coverage within the designated territory. Assist consulting engineers or Company appointed sales channel with project design, specification review and budgetary quote preparation or any other function that will help to improve the Company's hit rate. Identify Sales channel (sister companies, distributors, representatives/agents, OEM) needs and coordinate training requirements with the appropriate functional departments to ensure the growth of new and existing business. Cooperatively work with Industrial Sales Manager in the management of special projects. Through monthly written reports to sales leadership, including relevant market data, contribute and support strategic planning and Policy deployment processes and activities. Develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts. Support Application Engineering, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain with competitor pricing levels to insure maximum profit. Achieve or exceed budgeted Bookings and PBIT objectives. Establish and achieve annual sales quotas for the "specific products" products in your specific region. Ability to travel as planned and when required in pursuing the growth of international (where appropriate) and domestic business. Provide the organization with accurate and on-time forecasts, reports, and data on a monthly basis. Prepare, implement, achieve and report strategic plan initiatives and tactical objectives through reports to executive staff. Promotes and delivers targeted solutions in order to acquire new business. Collaborating with the Industrial Sales Manager and all department heads to insure strategic alignment. Create written proposals and finalize agreements consistent with Company, policies. Develop, maintain and grow customer relationships for repeat business. Effectively communicate and clearly define new business information to all Company departments. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience:
BA or BS degree (Marketing or Engineering) strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years management experience directing sales and/or marketing. Minimum 5 years of experience in our core served markets. Excellent oral and written persuasive communication and presentation skills. Proven track record of progressive accomplishment and growing a business/delivering results. Skilled in use of Power Point and Excel software. Experience in Salesforce and Concur software preferred. In-depth experience in identifying potential new markets and clients. Excellent team player - ability to work within all levels of the company to accomplish goals. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Strong focus on Customer Service.
