Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.Responsibilities:Provide technical analysis to support International Partner (IP) agreements, contingency and non-contingency operations, and advise and assist with planning, management, and control activities.Provide support for planning and managing requirements for users and payloads, encompassing legacy to future systems and requirements.Support trend analysis activities and operational deficiency assessments in support of operations and management. Provide EMI support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from IP interference, and support EMI resolution and coordination activities.Maintain situational awareness and provide subject matter expertise for all International (IP) agreements and IP resources available to support U.S. missions in the event of a crisis or contingency.Monitor Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Communications Agreements, and Space Support Requests (SSR) with IPs and foreign nations to assist with ensuring proper resource allocation and support are provided.Track and report IP usage of U.S. resources and U.S. usage of IP resourcesSupport Constellation health and welfare monitoring activities; and Mitigate, resolve, and recover from satellite anomalies.Provide technical input in support of constellation reconfiguration activities.Provide support to maintain contingency plans to optimize the U.S. DOD constellations in support of IP requirements and agreements.Assist with the Governments revision of plans, policies, and documentation to account for future changes in IP requirements in support of operational decisions; and Periodic review of instructions for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment, control segment, and terminal segment as applicable to IP requirements.Provide support for coordination activities with IP users to assess availability of satellite communication requirements to support current and future operations and optimization of Satellite Communication resources for priority missions.Experienced with Joint Satellite Communication Management Enterprise (JSME) Support:Provide technical advice and assistance concerning the Governments planning, operational requirements, and meetings/teleconferences for JSME including the Joint Management and Planning System (JSMPS) and Joint Integrated Satellite tool (JIST).Assist with producing documentation that provides Government oversight and direction to the IP COI.Provide assistance with posting, editing, and maintaining appropriate content on the JFSCC classified and unclassified websites and portals in support of the IP agreements.Provide IP subject matter expertise and document TTPs.Qualifications:
The selected candidate will have at least eight (8) to ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant experience, or education in communication principles and satellite communication theory, plus experience with at least one (1) related communications and computer systems.Selected candidate will have operational or maintenance experience with relevant space, airborne, and terrestrial networksDemonstrated relevant experience with the satellite communication apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned resources.Demonstrated international MOU experience associated with SATCOM UHF/SHF/EHF
Planning experience with JIST and/or JSMPS
Experience submitting a UHF/SHF SARs
Experience as a Staff Action Officer, writing and editing technical documents
