Glenbrook Remodeling is a family-owned, majority female-owned remodeling company based in Glenview.

Since our beginning in 2005 we strive to provide to our clients exceptional customer service, smart designs and high quality remodeled spaces.

Our showroom is located in downtown Glenview, steps away from the Metra station, surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and thriving local businesses.We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen and bath designer/sales representative to join our boutique remodeling and design team. Reporting directly to the owner, the Designer will be responsible for providing a 5-star client experience for kitchen and bath design through client consultation, accurate measurement and design, and consistent follow-through. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients in both our showroom and at their homes to understand their design preferences and functional needs, creating exceptional designs that align with their vision. Your creativity, attention to detail, and focus on exceptional customer service will be essential in producing innovative solutions that consistently exceed client expectations.Requirements:Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of three to five years of previous kitchen and bath design and sales experience.Proficiency in Chief Architect and 20/20 Design Software.

AutoCAD and Sketchup are a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.Proven sales record with strong closing skills.Experience noting details on drawings and communicating specific details to installersPrecision in pricing and orderingAbility to multitask while staying focusedExcellent organizational skills as well as communication skillsExperience working with customers one-on-one and being able to articulate information for clients to easily comprehendRESPONSIBILITIES:The Designer will meet with customers to assess needs and wants on field measurements and in the office to create designs and place orders. Clear communication is needed with all stakeholders involved in the projectDesigner must have a positive attitude as well as enjoy a friendly work environment and diverse clienteleDesign kitchens, baths and other parts of the home in Chief ArchitectPrepare drawings (floor plans, elevations, and perspectives)Become thoroughly familiar with all of our cabinet lines and answer customer questions about the productsPrice and order cabinets as well as other job-related productsCoordinate between customers, vendors, and sub-contractors including creating and maintaining details and drawings specific for each jobProject management & schedulingActively pursue new business opportunities and qualify inbound leadsManage and update CRM with contact details and notesMaintaining showroom appearance and organization to showcase products effectivelyAssistance with social media marketing (FB, IG & Occasional Digital Mailers)General clerical duties including light filing and answering the phoneField measurementMaintaining & organizing sample librariesKey Responsibilities:Design Development: Create and develop innovative design concepts for residential kitchen and bath projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry trends.Client Engagement: Actively procure new clients through outside solicitation, networking, and relationship building. Conduct consultations to understand client requirements and preferences.Project Management: Prepare detailed construction drawings, design layouts, and material specifications using AutoCAD and 20/20 software.Pricing and Estimation: Accurately price cabinetry and other materials, ensuring competitive and transparent pricing for clients.Sales Execution: Present designs to clients, address inquiries, and effectively close sales to meet or exceed targets.Project Coordination: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution from concept to completion.Follow-through: Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and the successful delivery of each project.Education:High School or equivalentKitchen and Bath Design Certificate or Degree is a plusInterior Design degree is a plusJob Type: Full-time but Part-time could be entertained;Compensation: Base salary plus commission based on experience and qualifications. Approximate range $55k-$100k per year depending on experience.
