The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.Job Functions / Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with engineering customers to define test objectives and strategies.Develop project plans that define test deliverables, scope of activities, budgets, and schedules.Manage execution of multiple projects to deliver results on time and within budget, coordinating resources and working closely with technical support groups and/or engineering teams.Execute vehicle-level test programs onsite and/or at offsite locations.Analyze data and exercise good engineering judgment to reach accurate conclusions.Communicate test results stating clear recommendations and proposals to design teams.Publish technical project reports to document test scope, methods, results, and conclusions.Continually improve the processes used to guide engineering decisions, while striving to increase test efficiency and data quality.Support the product development and validation test activities of senior engineering staff.Support related technical groups in the development of new vehicle technologies, including autonomous driving features, battery electric and alternative fuel vehicles, etc.Qualifications
7-10 years of relevant work experience with a background in ground vehicle testing preferred.Fundamental knowledge of automotive and commercial vehicle systems.Sound engineering judgment and technical analysis.Ability and desire to learn new tools and engineering methods.Effective project and time management.Effective communication, administration, and presentation skills.Ability to manage personal workload, demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the willingness to learn and improve upon engineering processes.Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline required. MS or Ph.D. preferred.
