Director of Production Operations
to lead Production Operations Team for the Sentinel Program. This position will be located in
Roy, Utah . Northrop Grumman Strategic Systems Division supports the Air Force's sustainment, modification, development, production, and deployment of strategic systems. Division program portfolio includes the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground Sustainment Support Contract (GSSC), Advanced Programs, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Programs, and the Sentinel Program.What You Will Get To Do:
The Production Operations Director is a senior level leader with accountability to the SDS Division VP of Production Operations and the Sentinel Program Management team. The candidate will have responsibility to ensure all operational aspects of the program from material procurement to finished product delivery are properly planned and executed in accordance with the Program baseline / execution Plan. This includes establishing needs and driving delivery of Engineering products and support as required to support the program baseline / execution schedule.The ideal candidate should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing & production foundational processes, encompassing knowledge of product lifecycle management systems, engineering release procedures, cost center structuring, manufacturing execution systems, product configuration, traceability, and government approval procedures for sell-off.The candidate should possess the capability to strategically plan for the long term while also meticulously attending to near-term details. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with individuals across all levels of the organization, including counterparts from the customer side. Work in partnership with the Program Management Team and SDS Functional Teams to define and execute the Manufacturing & Production statement of work in alignment with the customer SOW Sentinel Program Team.Key member of the Sentinel Leadership team to help create the alignment with the division manufacturing & production strategy who will be responsible for leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of Segment Production Operations Managers, Manufacturing Engineering/Tooling, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Master Production Scheduling, Manufacturing Simulations and Operations Program Management disciplines.Lead program level MRA process, collaborate across the supplier and customer interface including reporting strategy and framework.Development and execution of long-range plans and strategies by developing and managing to program plans and critical milestones deliverables.Responsible for product scheduling including first articles, long lead planning, build sequence planning, rate build-up plans and rate readiness assessments.Coordinate accurate and executable resource plans, work plans and associated visibility metrics aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule and Master Production Schedule.Develop production operations status and metrics on a regular basis and present to management and the customer, as applicable.Oversee all proposal efforts for the Sentinel Production Operations team.Establish the mentorship and coaching culture including growing and strengthening the manufacturing & production leadership bench.Eligibility:

$217,200 - $325,800The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
