SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Director of Adult Groups is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership for the Adult Groups Ministry and Connections Ministry in a manner consistent with the vision, mission, values and major objectives of Pinelake Church.

The role is tasked with developing, coaching, and resourcing the ministries of Adult Groups and Connections by cultivating and leading strategy, facilitating collaboration and teamwork, and serving as a catalyst for spiritual development, discipleship, and growth within our ministry teams and their respective groups.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with Pinelake leadership to plan, oversee, and evaluate all components of the Adult Groups Ministry and discipleship strategy.Serve as the primary coach and resource to Adult Groups Pastors / Ministers at each campus as they build ministry structures, shepherd leaders, and relationally invest in their communities.Serve as the primary coach and resource to Connection Pastors / Ministers at each campus as they build ministry structures, shepherd leaders, and relationally invest in their communities.Basic personal responsibilities:

Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation.Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.Maintain active participation in a small group.Attends at least one regular weekly worship service and is present on the church campus during all other regular weekly worship services.Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).Value the 7 H’s of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health and Harmony).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide vision, strategy, coaching, alignment, and resourcing to Adult Groups and Connections across Pinelake campusesEstablish goals and objectives for the Adult Groups Ministry and Connections Ministry and initiate strategies to fulfill themRelationally shepherd, mentor, and care for the Pastors and Ministers within the Adult Groups Ministry and Connections Ministry to support their personal and ministry healthDevelop and coach strategies to be implemented across Pinelake campuses regarding ministry structure, coaching, discipleship, group on-ramps, Open House, assimilation, guest services, and special eventsShape and supervise Pinelake’s effort to onboard, equip, and develop leaders and coaches within the Adult Groups Ministry and Connections Ministry in keeping with the principles taught in Ephesians 4:11-12Develop and foster a culture of hospitality for first impressions across all Pinelake campuses.Provide direction and oversight toward Pinelake’s Connections team and the process of developing, implementing, and evaluating the assimilation process.Assist the Pastor of Spiritual Formation in developing and evaluating discipleship resources to support Adult Groups and Connections MinistriesInfluence the Adult Groups Ministry and Connections Ministry culture by modeling and equipping for spiritual, emotional, relational, physical and organizational healthMaintain consistent communication with the Campus Pastors and Pastors of Ministry regarding the health and development of their respective staff in Adult Groups and Connections Ministries, as well as One Church strategy and visionCollaborate with Pinelake’s Resourcing and Communications team regarding curriculum, content, and promotional material for the Adult Groups MinistryPerform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises exempt and non-exempt personnel.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The minimum requirements for the Director of Adult Groups is a Bachelor’s degree.

Competitive candidates will have an advance degree and seminary experience.

Also, ten years ministry experience and key pastoral leadership in Groups Ministry are competitive attributes.
