Our vision is to enable national security policymakers to anticipate and prepare for future adversarial threats by revolutionizing intelligence analysis and capabilities, empowering them to see beyond the horizon and confidently navigate emerging national and global challenges. The Department is accountable and responsible for programs with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).Roles & Responsibilities:The Adversary Intelligence Department seeks a Principal Project Leader for its support to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s (ODNI) Office of the National Intelligence Manager for East Asia. The Department manages, guides, and directs technical and domain-specific work focused on enhancing the nation’s intelligence efforts at the strategic level and providing enterprise-wide solutions to the Intelligence Community’s toughest challenges. The work requires operating at senior-levels of government, including routine coordination and collaboration with the senior national security leaders and departments and agencies. Our efforts directly support the U.S policymaking, acquisition, research & development, and warfighting communities which requires comprehensive understanding of the IC, its partners, and stakeholders.The Project Leader is responsible for all aspects of the NIM-East Asia project, a complex work program responsible for driving the East Asia regional mission management across the IC. Technical functions include leading, developing and executing whole of government, national-level strategies and exercises; socializing new concepts and engaging on complex technical and programmatic issues in highly visible, politically sensitive environments; building and leading multi-disciplinary project teams; and simultaneously managing the competing equities of several government technical managers within the sponsor organization.This is an opportunity for you to expand your project leadership and technical skills while contributing to a distinctive project with cross-cutting IC and greater national security enterprise impact. This position requires initiative, creative leadership, demonstrated mission management experience, and in-depth understanding of the IC, the ODNI, exercise simulation design, and interagency coordination and collaboration.Minimum Qualifications:Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Extensive knowledge of the USG’s East Asia National Security Enterprise – especially within ODNI and the greater Intelligence Community.Experience with all aspects of project management, such as work shaping, staff planning and selection, recruiting, budgeting, and reporting.Superior customer engagement and communications skills and experience in politically sensitive, high-risk customer contexts.Proven ability to develop and shape work products and recommendations that balance depth with timeliness and technical improvements with programmatic constraints.Experience developing strategies to increase the impact of deliverables.Strong writing and editing skills including demonstrated ability to articulate complex topics to sponsors and staff.An existing, active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph.Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of MITRE’s organizational structure, work programs, and Intelligence Center efforts.Proven track record in work shaping to meet sponsor needs.Proven track record of partnering with external organizations, including with the government, academia, and industry to ensure capabilities and platforms are strategically leveraged in the execution of programs.Experience in shaping the workforce and skill mix to develop the capabilities of the staff, to include high quality hires capable of work program impact and growth.Demonstrated ability to work well in collaborative and dynamic environments that foster innovation in areas that provide enhanced capabilities to MITRE’s sponsors and that result in significant operational benefit to the Nation.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCI/PolygraphThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCI/PolygraphWork Location Type:Onsite
