Responsible for management of the CASA Department. Duties include recruiting, training, and monitoring citizen volunteers who act as advocates for dependent, neglected and/or abused children. Also acts as liaison with Lucas County CASA Advisory Board, Inc., an Ohio not for profit corporation and 501(c)(3) entity.TO APPLY:

Education/Training:

Bachelor degree in social work, education, child development, juvenile/family law or a closely related field. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may also be considered.Experience/Knowledge/Background:

At least four (4) years relevant work experience required; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.Skills:

Ability to lead employees and to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Court’s overall mission, vision, values and philosophy. Must possess working knowledge of the juvenile court, child welfare system, and dependency and neglect law. Must possess basic computer/keyboarding skills. Knowledge and skill in conflict resolution and problem solving. Must possess strong skills in project management, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.Special Requirements

Must have the ability to work well with a diverse group of people. This position is regularly exposed to sensitive information and the incumbent is expected to keep any such information strictly confidential.
