Senior Associate, Portfolio Controlling
is responsible for the oversight of RWE’s obligations to third-party investors under tax equity, partnership, and debt financing agreements. This position works closely with external customers in a consultative manner, as well as across internal departments to set expectations and facilitate problem-solving. The ideal candidate is customer service-minded, communicates collaboratively, and is knowledgeable of financing agreements within the renewable energy industry.Responsibilities:Support compliance of financial agreement obligations by preparing required deliverables to external financing parties, including monthly operating reports, cash distributions, debt withdrawal certificates, DSCR calculation, tax equity flip models, annual production (PAYGO) reports, etc.Prepare materials for and participate in calls with external financing parties to discuss project-level operational and financial performance and commercial issues.Coordinate amendments to Key Agreements and consents from investors where applicable.External communication: Responsible for responding to questions from external financing parties in a timely and professional manner.Identify opportunities to buy out or restructure financings.Coordination and teamwork: Collaborate across business groups to maintain compliance with financing agreements and support overarching strategic and commercial business topics related to external financing parties.Continuous process improvement: Pursue best practices, process improvements, standardization and tools that drive gains in efficiency, automation, and quality.Ongoing initiatives: Support company-wide top priorities and goals and special projects.Value enhancement: Support project-level EBITDA enhancement ideas and efforts to maximize project value.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required, with a background in business, finance, accounting, or tax preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer service/client-facing role.Knowledge of renewable energy project economics (specifically wind and solar) and related incentive systems.Familiarity with tax equity partnership flip structures, funding models and agreements, debt financing agreements, and debt covenants.Experience with contract compliance management preferred.Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships.Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space.Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines.Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team.Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds.Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable.Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts.Benefits offered:
