We incorporate environmental stewardship, safety, and compliance into our day-to-day operations and seek to strengthen and support the communities we serve.We are currently looking for a Welding Coordinator for our Sterlington, LA office.POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide welding procedures and nondestructive testing procedures to Construction Managers required for projects; Provide training to Construction Technicians and Contract Inspectors on monitoring of in-service welding and other welding and NDT issues; Support the Welding Engineer in managing the welder qualification program and welder database, updates to the Welding Manual and Welding Specifications, and related O&M and construction documents; Audit welding documentation of projects and support with State and DOT PHMSA audits.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

Working knowledge of pipeline regulations and industry standards such as API 5L, ASME B31.8/B31.4, API 1104, and 49 CFR Part 192/195Ability to read and implement the O & M manual and other compliance documentsAbility to read drawings, interpret and implement BWP construction specs, contract documents, drawings, alignment sheets, valve maps, line owner lists, O&M Manual, etc.Excellent problem-solving and written and verbal communication skillsWell organized with a high degree of initiative and motivationMust have the ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal direct supervisionStrong computer application skills required including proficiency with all Microsoft Office ProductsHave good decision-making skills in abnormal situationsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and assignmentsSound critical and economic thinking skillsAbility to maintain good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholdersMust be willing and able to travel (50% of time) and work in a variety of environments, including pipeline right-of-ways and manufacturing facilitiesStrong commitment to personal and team safetyValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

10 years Natural Gas Industry experienceBackground in pipeline construction practices, materials, inspection, and manufacturing/fabrication methods applicable to the equipment and systems used in the transportation of natural gas and hazardous liquid pipelinesREQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School DiplomaAWS CWI Certification or equivalentPREFERRED EDUCATION:

Degree in Welding Engineering or Welding Technology from an accredited university required, or 7 years of experience with practical welding knowledge from a pipeline operating companyADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
