LJA is expanding their presence in the Arizona market and is looking for a motivated licensed land surveyor who is looking to build and grow a surveying team. This position is responsible for business development, recruiting of new staff, supervision of field operations, overseeing and mentoring technical staff, and project management.General Responsibilities:Work with project managers and other surveyors to complete surveysResponsible for boundary survey calculations analysis and final map checking, abstracting title data and client relationsOversee surveying projects and ensure that work is executed on time, within budget and in accordance with client and company requirementsPrepares project time and cost estimates to include manpower projects and requisitioning/purchasing of equipmentDevelop and maintain client relationships within the Arizona marketReview, sign and seal survey workDevelop, update and maintain survey standards and specificationsRequired Education/Licenses:Required Experience:15 years’ experience in the industry5 years project management experienceProject scheduling, personnel management and work production techniqueStrong communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external clientsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
