Front Desk Associate/Guest Services

Requires Outstanding Customer Service and Team Player Attitude!

Job Summary:

Register guests, control/accept walk-ins, perform reservation functions, handle cash, manage mail outs, surveys, and other related services.

Prefer hotel experience and Visual Matrix software (not required).

Duties:

Greet, smile, and provide a welcoming environment for all guests.

Listen to and be aware of guest preferences and needs; accommodate whenever possible.

Communicate, interact, and collaborate well with teammates and other departments.

Check guests in and out according to proper procedures.

Ensure proper credit is established for guests upon check-in and at the time of bucket check.

Operate Visual Matrix management system and properly post all charges to guest and desk folios.

Handle cash, credit card, and transactions according to procedure.

Have basic knowledge in taking or changing a reservation in the terminal.

Operate PBX system.

Handle VIPs properly.

Ensure policy for safe deposit box is followed.

Be aware of walk procedures.

Perform additional duties as required by management.

Maintain current count and balance with reservations.

Ensure bucket check is kept current at all times.

Ensure daily reservations are blocked as necessary.

Use selective selling to maximize revenue.

Read Sales Group List daily to familiarize yourself with incoming/outgoing groups.

Read Hacienda Hotel updates daily to familiarize yourself with banquet/meeting room functions.

Read Log Book/MOD Report/Email daily to familiarize yourself with activities of prior shifts.

Must be neat and personable.

Reservation Duties:

Process all guest reservations and confirmations.

Process cancellations, revisions, and information updates or changes.

Assist reservation manager in handling group bookings and conventions.

Answer letters, phone calls, and take/give messages.

Pre-block group reservations effectively.

Perform additional duties as required by management.
