Vertex Solutions is looking for a Site Lead with Military Instructor Pilot experience (T-6 or similar training type aircraft desired), and a minimum of 5 years DoD-related project management experience with demonstrated experience in the management of personnel. The Site Lead will work primarily from Niceville, FL with 5% - 10% travel required. Familiarity with aircrew instruction and/or Virtual Reality (VR) simulation-based training is desired.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsible for on-site operations at the Niceville, FL location in support of multiple ongoing projects.Managing the installation and execution of VR Training Devices supporting US Military training requirements.Coordinate all logistics/requirements with the government for installation within government spaces.Manage customer relationships and expectations.Work with Vertex Solutions Human Resources team to interview and hire required staff.Coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, and inform management in a timely manner of variances from plan.Develop and maintain an accurate risk tracking document with an associated mitigation plan.Develop a process for regular gathering and coordination of student feedback with Government stakeholders and Vertex developers.Schedule/Organize/Attend progress meetings with Government stakeholders, site managers, and Vertex senior management, taking appropriate actions when necessary.Work with the other site leads to maintain an effective quality assurance program and standardization within the program.Provide excellent customer service to contractors, partners, government agencies, etc. to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction.Create status reports and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess needs and recommend solutions.Ability to create products with extremely high attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to interact with team members and stakeholders in a problem-solving, constructive manner.Ability to successfully manage and meet multiple, simultaneous project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position will have multiple direct and indirect reports as required to meet contract requirements.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office environment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Travel5% - 10% travel is anticipated for this position. Main travel locations are to other flight training locations, conferences, and as designated by the government and corporate.Required Education, Experience, and Skills5+ years of experience managing projects/programs within or for the DoD.Expert proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.Preferred Education, Experience, and SkillsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical area.VR simulation-based training experience.Former DoD Instructor Pilot, DoD aircraft experience, is a plus.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
