Overview:Summary
The MAL RDC Warehouse Manager is responsible for the Inbound/Storing and Outbound distribution of Hyundai and Kia service parts ensuring that safety, accuracy, and efficiency standards are met by strategic planning, staff development and process analysis/innovation. Achieving this requires collaboration, coordination and communication with local teams and global partners.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions
(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This list is not inclusive and other duties may be assigned).
Ensure all company policies, safety rules and regulations are followed and administer counseling or disciplinary action if needed.
Maintain pre-set standards of Goods Distribution and good housekeeping (3R5S).
Create and maintain a positive working environment that supports having a healthy workplace.
Collect and analyze data for KPI, Productivity, Cost Improvement, or other requests as needed.
Manage the equipment roster and maintenance records.
Develop a critical plan for future growth and expansion of the main warehouse as well as the two off-site locations.
Provide guidance and training for supervisors and team leaders to ensure expectations are clearly understood.
Document work procedures (SOP) and create training manuals.
Lead staff evaluations, promotion recommendations and direct hire activities.
Plan Pivot strategies for Manpower, Equipment and Infrastructure based on changing business requirements.
Lead problem-solving teams to identify, recommend and implement corrective actions, to improve distribution productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate and track Inbound and Outbound traffic.
Monitor facility for required Maintenance or Repair.
Support and cooperate with all related Teams in Mobis Alabama as well as global partners.
Manage Project Approvals related to Distribution Center.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Preferred Education:
B.S. degree in business or a related discipline plus 5 years warehousing experience in high volume distribution, warehousing environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong Time management skills.
Strong Leadership ability.
Good analytical and technical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Background & Experience:
Experience in a Distribution Center.
Experience with Team building and Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with AMOS, SAP, or VAATZ.
Knowledge of automotive distribution, JIT (Just-in-Time) and 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
Working Conditions:
70% RDC, 20% at local Off-Site warehouse locations for vendor direct shipping (non-climate-controlled Warehouse Floor), and 10% Domestic/ International Travel.
Lifting to 50lbs.
Operating various warehouse equipment such as forklift, high reach, pallet jack, skid wrapper, and PDA Scanner.
Hours: Shift Based.
