:As a UX Designer, you’ll be an integral part of solving design problems for users within our business, at Kroger, and at CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies. At 84.51°, we design and build software experiences that delight users by making their lives easier, and we do this through research, design, analysis, and testing in an iterative delivery environment. :Experience Design Associates in the Development Program start in June with positions available in both our Cincinnati, OH Headquarters and our Chicago, IL office, located in the Old Post Office.For the first 12 weeks, you will participate in an onboarding program where you will receive technical and contextual training around who we are, what we do, and how we do it – with extensive training, immersive case studies, and shadowing & mentorship opportunities across the business.RESPONSIBILITIES

:Support Experience Design peers in communicating design needs with your team through appropriate documentation, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using our Design System.Collaborate on a cross-functional team comprised of product, engineering, and design to deliver a unified, quality software experience.Understand business stakeholders and end users needs to generate empathy for their needs across your team.Participate in user research with internal and external users; draft scripts, take notes, assist with synthesis.Help inform product recommendations that balance the needs of users, business, and technology.Represent the interests of good design and user needs to your team and stakeholders.Take ownership, create personal professional growth objectives and find ways to achieve them as you advance on your career journey within our design organization.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE WE VALUE

:Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year accredited university.Must be graduating by the time the program starts - or looking for an early career change to our industry (0-3 years of experience).Experience creating user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, production assets, and documentation.Experience using a variety of user research methods (e.g. usability testing, card sorting, participatory design sessions, etc.).Experience designing and prototyping with a design system, Figma, Sketch or Adobe Creative Cloud.Experience designing with design systems, responsive web and mobile constraints in mind.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.Demonstrated skill in creative thinking and problem solving.Excitement and willingness to learn new skills and try new methods and approaches.
