Position Purpose

The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital media strategy utilizing the latest tools and techniques available in addition to the day-to-day management of all NICB digital and social media properties. The Digital Media Specialist will serve as a digital media expert for the organization, utilizing paid media strategies to reach and engage with NICB’s key stakeholders.

Work Arrangement And Description

This is a hybrid position and the Reporting Location is NICB Headquarters (Oak Brook, IL). The individual will be provided with the privilege and flexibility to work away from NICB Headquarters, but will be required to report periodically in-person based upon business needs, subject to the discretion of their supervisor, and in compliance with NICB's rules and procedures.

Competencies/DutiesDevelop comprehensive digital and social media strategies aligned with NICB’s strategic goals and objectives across all NICB digital media properties, including internal and external websites, SharePoint sites, social media channels, etc.Develop paid, targeted media campaigns that promote company brand, service, and/or products through all available digital media platforms and channels.Manage the day-to-day content and amplification of key messages on NICB’s digital properties (websites, blogs, intranet, etc.) and social media channels (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube).Partner with Marketing to develop digital and social media campaigns and content that support member acquisition, engagement, and retention.Develop regular digital and social media campaign reports for leadership and key stakeholders.Assist internal stakeholders with updates to external websites (NICB.org and NICTA.org) and internal Employee Intranet.Coordinate digital and social media initiatives with key external stakeholders (members, law enforcement partners, governmental agencies, etc.)Work with subject matter experts throughout NICB to amplify fraud services, programs, reports, and stories to NICB members, partners, and the public.Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communications skills.Strong social media management skills, including day-to-day responsibilities for managing social media channels, such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.Previous experience creating and implementing comprehensive paid media strategies and utilizing paid media tools.Ability to analyze social media data to create leadership reports.Photo and video shooting and editing experience desired.Previous experience using and managing content management systems, including SharePoint.Highly organized to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Flexible work style, able to work independently or within a team environment.Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people on all levels.

Education, Work Experience, LicensureBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a social or digital media position.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ContactsThis position interacts with NICB employees, member companies, law enforcement partners, governmental agencies, and vendors.

Environment/Physical DemandsAt home and standard office environment.Some travel may be required; less than 10 percent.

Salary Range and StatementThe salary range for this position is $50,000 to $62,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
