We are growing fast, and we need a PARALEGAL who can perform substantive billable legal work under the direction of one or more attorneys in the office to support our team. This position is hybrid: you will be virtual and in our CHICAGO office. The FULLTIME PARALEGAL POSITION is available now and we’re looking for a seasoned professional with experience in employment law who wants to help our employer and executive clients reach their peak success.You will be the client-facing staff of our services for Illinois employers and executives. You will use your legal research skills and knowledge of corporate operations to audit our employer clients’ HR policies, analyze their records, policies, and standards as we strive to keep them in compliance with current employment laws. For our executive clients, you will support our attorneys in reviewing their current employment agreements and non-competes. Using your exceptional communications skills, you will draft high level correspondence with clients. You will also organize, manage, and track accounts from inception to invoices. When litigation is involved, you will know how to draft court documents, prepare discovery and discovery demands and meet with clients to discuss responses.If the statements below appeal to you, then you might be our next PARALEGAL:I am an analytical type who loves performing a deep dive into my clients’ policies.Communication is my middle name. I have high-level correspondence abilities, executive presence and am comfortable speaking to corporate managers, directors, and executives.Managing, tracking, and invoicing a case from start to finish is work I enjoy.I can manage deliverables for myself and others on my team.I thrive on knowing what my Key Performance Indicators for a position should be and strive to meet them.I love helping people get better at what they do.THE QUALIFICATIONSTo flourish in this position, you must have:Completed a course of study offered by a college or university, or equivalent work experience.5 or more years of experience as a paralegal, strong preference given if any of those years were spent at an employment law firm.Experience using CLIO for case management, including billing.Experience using MS Office 365 for all document creation and communication.The self-discipline and ability to work from a virtual location and downtown in our Chicago office.Responsibilities:Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews.Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits.Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings.Audit our employer clients’ HR policies, analyze their records, policies, and standards as we strive to keep them in compliance with current employment laws.For our executive clients, you will support our attorneys in reviewing their current employment agreements and non-competes.Qualifications:Talented communicator and writer.Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills.Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred.5 or more years of experience as a paralegal, strong preference given if any of those years were spent at an employment law firm.Experience using CLIO for case management, including billing.Experience using MS Office 365 for all document creation and communication.Compensation:

$57,500 - $63,000 yearly
