Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):
Managing a variety of waterfront and coastal projects, varying in complexity and scale.
Developing and overseeing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Acting as a technical lead for the design of waterfront projects, including the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory filings.
Providing guidance to on-site field staff and serving as the main point of contact in client and contractor interactions.
Playing a significant role in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client engagement.
Mentoring and nurturing junior staff to support their professional growth.
Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Waterfront, Coastal, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
More than 8 years of experience in waterfront and coastal design projects, with a focus on structural aspects.
Professional engineering license within the Atlantic and/or New England states, or eligibility for reciprocity within one year of hire.
Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and business development opportunities.
Proficiency in coastal circulation and wave modeling programs is desirable.
Experience with regulatory/environmental permitting for waterfront infrastructure projects is a plus.
Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
