Role Description:

The Sr Director/Director Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in defining the strategy and supporting the execution of the marketing go-to-market. Reporting to the CMO, this leader will be responsible for driving messaging, content strategy, and programs to reach developers and CIO/CTOs positioning Heroku as their partner for accelerating cloud native application development and delivery.

Responsibilities:

You will be part of Heroku’s marketing leadership team and instrumental in shaping our GTM and presence in the industry.

You will lead a team of product marketers in the definition and effective execution of the marketing strategy and foster an environment of creativity and experimentation to grow this business.

You will have demonstrable experience in all areas of product marketing — product and solution positioning & messaging, GTM strategy and planning, content creation and delivery, enablement, customer & competitive intelligence.

You will work closely with key stakeholders in product management, sales, partner, and professional services to develop a journey that attracts, delights, and inspires our customers to build value for their customers and their business.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or go-to-market background.

Experience marketing to developer and IT Executive audiences and knowledge of cloud native, open source, Kubernetes, and developer tool ecosystems.

Demonstrable expertise in all areas of product marketing — product and solution positioning & messaging, GTM strategy and planning, content creation and delivery, enablement, customer & competitive intelligence.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building, driving alignment, influencing, and managing a team with experience in recruiting, leading and inspiring a team of product marketers.

Experience in defining strategy and coaching teams through execution.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, customers, and partners.

Expertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholders.

Experience in building scalable programs and demonstrate the ability to drive cross-functional alignment.

Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.

Compensation:

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $174,800 to $320,800.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $174,800 to $294,100.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $174,800 to $320,800.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. More details about our company benefits can be found at the following link:
