JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the EVP, iA Wealth, the Head of Insurance Distribution Strategy and Partnerships will lead the development and execution of distribution strategies across iA Wealth and PPI. This collaborative role aims to optimize distribution channels, enhance revenue growth, and foster strong partnerships within the financial services industry.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Distribution Strategy Development:

  • Analyze market trends, advisor/client needs, and competitive landscape to formulate effective distribution strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend channel enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align distribution efforts with business goals.

Channel Optimization:

  • Oversee distribution channels, including brokers, agents, and digital platforms.
  • Evaluate channel performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
  • Implement innovative approaches to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

Insurance Expertise Integration:

  • Bring broad insurance subject matter expertise to the management of iA Wealth’s insurance line of business.
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction of the insurance business line, integrating insurance into the overall wealth management strategy of the firm.

National Strategy and Advisor Engagement:

  • Drive the national strategy and framework for insurance distribution and advisor engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior management and specialists to ensure advisors are equipped to position insurance effectively for their clients.

Collaboration with MGA Partner:

  • Work closely with our MGA partner to ensure advisors receive optimal support for their clients and business.
  • Facilitate a holistic wealth management experience by driving the HNW insurance offering at iA Wealth.

Sales Enablement and Training:

  • Work directly with advisors to maximize revenue growth in insurance sales.
  • Develop advisor training initiatives to enhance their insurance expertise.

Promotion and Visibility:

  • Collaborate with Investia and iA Private Wealth (iAPW) to promote sales and the insurance consultant program.
  • Be visible in promoting the insurance offering among our advisor base through regional meetings, road shows, and national conferences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sales Experience
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Life Insurance License (LLQP) is required
  • Certified financial planner (CFP) is an asset

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in distribution, sales, or strategic partnerships within the financial services sector.

Specific skills & abilities or areas of knowledge:

  • Insurance Sales, Estate & Financial Planning, Sales Enablement
  • Advanced knowledge of both French and English is required to communicate daily with external advisors across the country
