MissionVet Specialty + Emergency is in search of a self-motivated, is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at MissionVet Specialty + Emergency.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
TheER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Highlights
• Rotate with other specialty services during the training program
• Surgical training offered
• Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts
• No on-call
• Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
Our emergency clinicians also have the opportunity to perform emergency surgeries if desired. If you have a passion for surgery, we will help foster and strengthen it with hands-on training. Do you prefer to refer surgeries and focus on receiving? Our surgery department has got you covered!
To further support our emergency team and our patients, we have recently implemented ER Express to help streamline the flow of receiving. We have also rolled out our Intermediate Care department to see lower acuity cases and allow the ER DVM on shift to focus on the more critical cases coming in.
