Registered Nurses

to join their team.As an Early Intervention

Registered Nurse (RN)

you will be responsible for providing home and community based early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmental delays and their families in both their homes and community settings.

You will work in a coaching model, partnering with parents/caregivers to ensure service delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Through this collaborative process you ensure families’ priorities, needs, culture, and values are prioritized.

Position Responsibilities:Assist and/or complete initial intakes and provide follow-up referrals and/or interagency service coordination as needed.Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to determine the developmental needs of the child and concerns and priorities of the family. The early intervention RN will focus on medical history, nursing assessment, as well as goals and objectives related to health, nutrition, and safety.Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) with families and collaborate with families to identify strengths and resources.Provide services using a coaching model with children and families according to their IFSP. This may include home visits, child groups and parent groups.Monitor developmental milestones and progress with parents/caregivers to inform ongoing need for direct service, consultation and/or assessment.Provide parent/caregiver education on health and safety issues during home visits or parent education groups.Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate.Document all information necessary for the upkeep of client files.Participate in developmental screenings in the community.Attend program functions for clients and the public.

Position Requirements:Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of MassachusettsAbility to work independently and as a team memberStrong ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partnersKnowledge of family systems and early childhood developmentCommitment to delivering individualized and culturally informed servicesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standardsGood computer skills as well as strong documentation skillsCurrent driver’s license and reliable transportationBilingual/Bicultural a plus
