Description:New England College of Optometry (NECO) is a small, independent, graduate institution located in Boston's Back Bayneighborhood. NECO seeks an Assistant Building Manager - Maintenance Technician II for sites which include theCollege's historic Back Bay campus and two eye care clinics located on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue and inRoslindale Square. The Assistant Building Manager - Maintenance Technician reports to, assists, and works under thegeneral direction of the Manager of Building & Grounds and works closely with the Manager of Compliance and Safety.

The Assistance Building Manager - Maintenance Technician is an integral member of the Operations team, willoccasionally have building opening and closing responsibilities and is the person in charge of building operations whenthe management team is not onsite. This person will work closely with the custodial and security teams to manageevents and special projects. This person will be the key contact for all vendor activity in the building(s) up to andincluding project managing small construction tasks. This person will at the direction of the Manager of Building andGrounds performs a variety of tasks to include but not limited to maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, lightconstruction, room set up/turn over, snow removal, safety inspections, and any tasks required to ensure a safe andhealthy environment.

The Assistant Building Manager, Maintenance Technician will be required to be proficient in the following tasks up tobut not requiring licensure:Light Electrical Light ConstructionBasic Plumbing EventRoom Set up / Room Turn OverWall Repair/ Patch / Paint Furniture ReconditioningRepair TilingGroutingSnow Removal / By hand / By machineSalary Range: $63,000 - $65,000
