Machinist Job Description:Set up CNC lathes and millsSet up Manual Lathes, Grinders and Mills for Manual Machining operationsAssist with fabricating new components per Engineering drawingsVerify work using various measuring methodsAssist with modifying components per drawing or engineering’s instructionUtilize scheduling system to prioritize jobs according to due dateCommunicate with other shiftsWork from verbal and/or written instructions or sketchesReport job progress in scheduling systemVerify drawings using CAD systemMentor new machinistsOperate equipment safely and maintain shop cleanlinessMachinist Job Requirements:
Ability to understand and interpret programs using Mastercam softwareStrong math skills including trigonometry and geometryAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsWorking knowledge of GD&TAbility to work with minimal supervision and good interaction skillsBasic computer skillsGood troubleshooting and problem-solving techniquesBasic understanding & knowledge of Machine Shop equipment, machining & measuring processesTwo-year Machine Tool diploma or degree
The starting salary for the Machinist position is $23-$30+ per hour (depending on experience).
Monday-Thursday: 3:25pm to 1:55am OR Monday-Friday: 3:25pm to 11:55pm
