Director of Mid-Market Sales

Location: Dallas, TX (onsite at our Dallas office)

Job Summary:Alkira is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Mid-Market Sales. The Director of Mid-Market Sales is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the mid-market business segment. This role will manage a team of sales professionals, implement sales processes, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, and customer success to ensure alignment and success in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the mid-market segment.Set and achieve sales targets, including revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability goals.Identify new market opportunities and key industry trends to expand the customer base.Analyze sales data, trends, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planningTeam Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mid-market sales representatives and managers.Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and track individual and team performance.Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales cultureCustomer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key mid-market clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.Act as an escalation point for client issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Develop strategies to strengthen client relationships and grow account value.Sales Operations:

Implement and optimize sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation efforts and brand positioning.Work with finance and operations to develop sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasted revenueCollaboration and Cross-functional Alignment:

Work closely with product teams to communicate customer feedback and market insights to influence product development.Partner with customer success teams to ensure a seamless post-sale experience and maximize customer lifetime value.Align with marketing to ensure effective go-to-market strategies and execution.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).Proven experience (typically 7-10+ years) in sales leadership roles, particularly in the mid-market or B2B space.Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.Experience managing and scaling sales teams.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari) and sales analytics.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills:

Experience in the technology, SaaS, or digital services sectors.Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the market and industry trends.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Results-oriented with a focus on data-driven decision-making.About Alkira:
