We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysisto join our Team in Austin (hybrid work schedule)

The Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis will be a key member of the Ottobock North America Finance Team, reporting to the Director of Finance. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be accountable for reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, building financial models, product pricing analysis, etc. Participate in monitoring policies and procedures relating to business processes and internal controls. Identify areas of opportunity where, effectiveness and efficiency of resource utilization may be improved, and provide insight and recommendations. Provide appropriate reporting, analysis, and feedback. Adhere to appropriate accounting principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Analysis
  • Own finance business partner functions supporting the business, managing and monitoring the P&L for both short and long-range scenarios.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budget and forecast.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide analysis to measure business performance with a key focus on Revenue/Gross Margin.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis from top line, e.g. price-volume development by product and customer, to bottom line Analyze profitability, cost drivers, and trends to support decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally to establish forecast and budget for OBHC 3rd party and Intercompany revenue/gross margin.

Reporting And Presentation
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, executive board meetings, and stakeholders
  • Develop dashboards (Power BI) and visualizations to communicate financial insights effectively.
  • Provide commentary and explanations on financial performance to support decision-making and provide transparency to the P&L.

Business Partnering
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide financial support.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to develop financial models and forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, international a plus.
  • Advanced Excel a plus (V-lookup's, pivot tables). Macros, VBA a plus.
  • ERP experience a plus, especially SAP and financial consolidation software a plus, i.e. Hyperion.
  • Experience on process development and implementation. Able to recognize opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Proactive and organized with the ability to drive results.
  • Eager to learn and grow with positive energy in changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to build strong and productive business partner relationships, influencing leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization, including the ability to work directly with and around senior company leadership.
  • Strong financial planning experience required (global experience preferred).
  • Ability to prioritize, take ownership and work independently fueled by intrinsic motivation and an outcome-oriented mindset.
  • Analytical and structured approach coupled with hands on mentality to problem-solving aiming for excellence and continuous improvement.
  • High reliability and data accuracy in combination with clear communication for effectiveness in team and organization across functions
