The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Video Communications Manager (Part-Time) to provide support for our government client in Silver Springs, Maryland. This can also be a remote position.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide project management support to plan, coordinate, manage, report, video communications plans and projects.

Oversee the video production process: o Conceptualize and develop video concepts and story boards. o Collaborate with FDA OMHHE team and Po`okela team to draft scripts and identify subjects. o Collaborate with FDA OMHHE team to facilitate interviews and produce final videos, including audio files and written transcripts of videos after recording. o Manage animation services and other video series projects

Coordinate with vendors to create high-quality video products.

Oversee vendors/personnel who support the following tasks: o Recording and creating video content o Producing and editing video content o Maintain relationships with all contractors

Attend virtual and/or on-site planning meetings with FDA staff.

Attend monthly, weekly, and/or as-needed project status calls or meetings with the FDA OMHHE team and Po`okela team.

Assist Program Manager in researching and selecting vendors for video projects.

Submit periodic reports to Program Manager regarding status of video projects. o Collaborate with Program Manager to provide updates to FDA OMHHE team.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelors degree

And a minimum of two (2) years of related motion graphics/illustration and visual story development support related to life sciences or medical sciences minority health and health equity campaigns.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

HIGHLY Desired: Strategic video production experience that has focused on communication and multimedia production.

Proven track record of working with multiple vendors, preferably with companies that may be utilized for future projects.

Ability to work on multiple projects independently.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing communication and video production projects.

Must have competencies in project management, computer skills, oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

Must be a U.S citizen.

Must pass a favorable background investigation.
