One of the region's leading industrial electrical design/build contractors has a growth opportunity for a skilled and innovative Electrical Systems Technician/Superintendent. PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for our client in RALEIGH and we also have an opening for the same position in Charlotte. These are long term career, direct hire (or could be temp to hire) positions. Our client is a multi-state licensed, employee-owned, Electrical Services contractor, based just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. As one of the largest electrical contractors in the Charlotte Metro Area, they pride themselves on providing the highest level of service possible. Qualified individuals will join an expanding team of engineers, technicians and designers who offer a full spectrum of services to industrial and manufacturing clients throughout the southeastern US. This is generally a Monday through Friday work week and days last 8 to 10 hours. You must reside in the Raleigh (or Charlotte) area for consideration. No relocation available.
Note: The pay rate for this job is $40 - $45 / hour

Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver technical presentations
Read and understand electrical schematics
Gather field electrical data and document findings
Install and operate power monitoring equipment
Operate ground field testing and ground continuity equipment
Operate insulation resistance cable testing equipment
Operate digital field location layout tools
Perform short circuit and arc flash software analysis
Prepare thermography analysis
Prepare LOTO procedures
Generate and affix electrical equipment labeling
Prepare reports for clients
Prepare material and labor estimates to generate service proposals
Maintain test equipment calibration records
Position Requirements: Entrepreneur mindset Organized, with attention to detail
Professional communication skills, written and verbal Follow projects to completion
Time management: Travel to client sites and working in industrial/manufacturing facilities
Occasional overnight stays Occasional evening and weekend work
Qualification:
Associates degree in engineering technology or 10 years relevant experience
Trained in the National Electric Code and the National Electric Safety Code
Knowledge of breaker systems and breaker testing
OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain certification
Lock-Out-Tag-Out certification, or ability to obtain certification
Certified Power Quality Professional or similar certification Level 2 Certified Thermographer, or ability to obtain certification
Certified Arc Flash Trainer, or ability to obtain certification Licensed as an electrical contractor or possess the ability to become licensed
