Abbott Metal Werks, part of the Abbott Interfast family of companies, a leader and innovator in the fastener industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as General Manager/Operator of our newly formed Cold Heading Division. As an ISO-certified manufacturer and supplier, Abbott Metal Werks specializes in producing standard and custom fastener components through various methods, including cold heading. We take great pride in providing our customers with high-quality products and exceptional service. This position is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right individual to start and build a Cold Heading facility from the ground up.
Cold Heading Operator Responsibilities:
Set up and operate cold heading machines to produce fastener componentsMonitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure product qualityPerform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working conditionInspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standardsFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areaExperience with Jern Yao cold-headers is preferred*Must have experience with setting up and running cold heading machines**Must have a passport for training overseas for 5 days*General Manager Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the companyDevelop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectivesHire, manage and motivate employees to ensure productivity and efficiencyMonitor financial performance and make decisions to optimize profitabilityBuild and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliersEnsure compliance with industry regulations and standardsHelp create a world-class manufacturing environmentRequirements
Experience with set-up and operating cold heading machines in a manufacturing environment(Required)Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesUnderstanding of quality control principlesKnowledge of safety procedures and protocolsMUST BE A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATESExperience in a leadership or management role preferred but not necessary
