Job SummaryHulu’s Product team is responsible for building the Hulu app experience to engage, retain, and delight our 50M+ viewers. Our team is highly focused on delivering against where Hulu’s strengths meet our opportunities: aggregated content experiences, flexible technical capabilities that power our business, and providing user choice and control for our subscribers.Our ultimate goal is a functional experience that is in seamless harmony across our subscriber base and all of our partner teams at Hulu. In other words, we succeed when we simultaneously make our viewers happy while also meeting business goals and objectives. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager II who will own and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and development for content promotion and targeting capabilities, with a specific focus on how we expose users to new content and offerings.The ideal candidate is an expert in using data and machine learning to drive product performance. You understand the intricacies of content ecosystems and have a proven ability to work closely with content partners to push the boundaries of how new stories are introduced and experienced by users. Collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to enhancing both the user experience and business outcomes are key to your success in this role. Your work will be central to how we expand the reach of new and compelling stories, ensuring that the content is effectively surfaced and experienced by the right audiences.

ResponsibilitiesCraft and communicate the product roadmap for Hulu’s content promotion capabilitiesOversee the design and implementation of machine learning-driven strategies that enhance the discovery of new and priority content, while ensuring these recommendations serve both user engagement and business partner objectivesPartner with product, engineering, design, marketing, analytics, and data science teams to deliver impactful and data-driven product features that elevate the content discovery experienceUtilize advanced analytics, user research, and A/B testing to inform product decisions and measure the success of implemented featuresChampion the end-user experience by ensuring that content recommendations are personalized, relevant, and seamlessly integrated into the appStay at the cutting edge of industry trends, particularly in machine learning and AI, to incorporate the latest advancements into product developmentDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of product features on business goals and user satisfactionProvide leadership and mentorship to junior product managers and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learningBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, etc.) required; advanced degree preferred.7+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on machine learning, AI, or algorithm-driven products.Proven experience managing and optimizing recommendation, promotion, or messaging tools, particularly within large-scale consumer-facing products

Strong proficiency in data analysis and the use of A/B testing methodologies to drive product decisions and improvements.Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and other teams to deliver impactful product features.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of an organization and present technical content to non-technical audiences.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on balancing user experience with business outcomes.Strong sense of ownership, accountability and pride in your work, always following through and a willingness to get your hands dirty, if needed.A comfort level with adapting to changing priorities.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business)Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or similar, to extract and analyze data for better product decision-makingThe hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $156,300 to $209,600 per year and in California is $149,300-$200,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
