Summary of Job Duties:The Enterprise Web Developer is responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of custom web applications; University website initiatives, and interfaces for university needs and services. This individual will apply proven communications, time management, and programming skills to collaborate with University departments concerning web application requirements; evaluate new technologies and web development tools; build customized user experiences that dynamically change based on user roles and needs, and evaluate the performance of user interfaces across the university web ecosystem. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:

Required Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience;A high level of expertise in using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL to build and support custom applications and interfaces;Experience building applications with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.Preferred Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree and experience developing and supporting custom applications and interfaces;Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PL/SQL, SQL, Shell scripting, and Linux;Experience working with WordPress is considered a plus.Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and maintain Workday reports and integrations using Workday Reporting, Workday Prism Analytics, and Snaplogic. This included developing custom Workday Calculated Fields;Interact with a variety of University stakeholders to ensure that prospective application(s) and/or proposed enhancements or interfaces to applications will meet business requirements;Research, collect and organize information concerning new technologies, best practices, and industry standards to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of web application interfaces;Analyze technical requirements and integrate appropriate logic, libraries, and services to implement business rules;Maintain the quality and functionality of custom interfaces according to brand standards and web guidelines;Resolve user requests concerning bug fixes, enhancements, and new features;Troubleshoot performance, optimization, and scalability issues;Provide WordPress administration and support for University website initiatives;Work with developers, systems, network, and other IT Services staff to design new user experiences for custom or third party web applications. This includes interacting with systems, networks, and other IT Services staff to ensure infrastructure requirements are understood and met;Prepare well-defined user stories and project timelines while contributing to a library of code and logic patterns;Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language;Ability to analyze problems and develop systematic approaches at resolving them;Current knowledge of industry technologies: Expertise in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL., Experience using relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.;Experience with WordPress, especially administration, theme, and plugin development.;Ability to apply system and software quality assurance best practices and methodology;Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems;Strong technical documentation skills;Highly self-motivated and directed;Keen attention to detail;Commitment to excellent customer service;Ability to work on-call hours on a rotating basis.
