The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer.Enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.Regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Nodejs, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or abovePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

UX/UI experience - Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environmentExperience with designing and building application using AWS services such as EC2, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS OpsWorksDesigning and building application using Container and serverless technologiesExperience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availabilityExperience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)Hands on familiarity with CloudFormation.Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)Strong scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systemsExtra curricula software development passion (e.g. active open source contributor)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
