Senior Director, HRBP Technology

serves as a trusted advisor to leaders in Nordstrom’s Technology organization, using external and internal insights, data, and trends to identify people priorities. The role provides strategic guidance and advice in areas of employee engagement, organizational development, performance management, DEIB, and succession planning.

The role reports directly to the VP, HRBP for Corporate Teams and leads a team of senior HR professionals.

The role is a hybrid role based in Seattle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify and activate people priorities for the Tech organization, aligning with both business strategies and HR goals.

Develop and execute a talent strategy that enables the achievement of Technology priorities and ensures the identification and development of current and future Technology leaders and other critical talent.

Serve as a trusted advisor for Tech Leaders, using external and internal insights, data, and trends to identify and help solve key people and business issues.

Partner with the Talent COE to support the talent needs of the Tech organization, including the sourcing and acquisition of Tech employees and leaders.

Partner with the Compensation COE to develop, implement and maintain Total Rewards programs that meet the needs of the Technology organization.

Champion DEIB efforts to support a diverse and inclusive workplace with equitable practices where employees feel a sense of belonging.

Oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and consistency.

Drive organizational change initiatives, including workforce planning and restructuring.

Align with other HRBPs and HR COEs to ensure that common and core practices are followed.

Utilize HR analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including HR, Legal, and Finance.

Lead, develop and motivate a team of senior HR professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of experience in human resources or related field

Proven track record of thought leadership in HR

Ability to create and activate strategic plans

Track record of effectively partnering with and influencing business leaders on all levels of the organization

Strong business acumen

Ability to partner across multiple teams within HR to deliver effective solutions

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated experience bringing large scale change opportunities to life through storytelling, fact-based orientation, and using advanced analytics to inform complex decision making

Experience leading, motivating and developing teams preferred

Experience supporting a large corporate population preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Ability to work at minimum 3 days a week onsite

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $180,000 - $290,000 Annually plus additional cash and equity incentives. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
