Casco Bay Food and Beverage is a 100% employee-owned Maine company looking to hire a Director of Finance & Strategic Initiatives. This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting operations and collaborates closely with other departments to provide financial insight and support decision-making processes.Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.Prepare and analyze detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Manage month-end close process.Prepare and submit annual property tax forms.Prepare and perform regular financial analysis, including but not limited to preparation of annual budgets, cash flow, cost benefit programs, inventory management, expense reductions to increase net operating income and forecasting. Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company and maintain close vendor and banking relationships, including providing any requested information.Oversee accounting team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.Proficient with accounting software, Excel and standard office and accounting equipment.Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Outstanding leadership skills.If you are a highly motivated individual with a strong background in finance, we invite you to apply!Experience Level:
