The Director, Innovation works with SVP, Innovation department lead to continue to drive innovation forward for CMI Media Group. Under the SVP, the Director, Innovation will be on the cutting edge of technology, media and advertising and aid in bringing unique opportunities to our clients, working alongside partners to create new offerings and drive our business forward.
The Director, Innovation will work in partnership with the SVP, Innovation, the Supplier Partner Team and Media Investment team to bridge the gap between traditional Compas partners and new, innovative partnership opportunities, as well as media and activation. The role will also heavily focus on thought leadership, workshops, and new offering creation to continue to expand team and opportunities.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Help to identify, vet and evaluate new non-endemic and innovative partners in the Media and Marketing space
Partner with Supplier Partner and Media teams, leading to pilot opportunities for clients
Serve as an Innovation lead across larger accounts within CMI Media Group, both in a client facing position as well as support for media planning team
Establish strategic relationships with partners such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and other forward-thinking non-traditional, pharma-first partner opportunities
Discover new technology and advertising partners, bringing them in to meet with internal stakeholders
Contribute to creating bi-monthly POVs for internal use and dissemination to client teams
Work alongside Market team to discover new ways to leverage technology and partners, helping to spread Agency thought leadership to prospects and current clients
Stay on the cutting edge of technology and media planning, pushing Agency products and opportunities forward
Work alongside SVP, Innovation to partner with vendors to create and deliver unique opportunities to brands
Instrumental in the RFP and new business process, including strategic ideas and vision as well as new business pitches
Work alongside Media and Activation team leads to support growth of business and uptake of new services on assigned accounts
Partner with WPP creative agencies, focused on creating new offerings in-line with innovation needs to bring unique opportunities to life, both from a creative and media execution perspective
For assigned accounts, through ideation and innovation, grow existing relationships and expand CMI Media Group’s presence in the marketplace, pertaining to innovation
Be well versed in CMI Media Group’s current offerings, operating as a ‘sales engineer’ when partnering with strategy and execution teams within the Agency
Understand and a passion for the growing innovation landscape, inclusive of: Omnichannel opportunities, Metaverse, Audio, Social and beyond
Lead capabilities deck presentations and constantly look towards ways of updating and re-inventing
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or other related field
6+ years working experience in the pharmaceutical or a regulated industry; Agency experience preferred
Deep knowledge and passion of marketing, media, social, search, video, audio, and data
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
Strong presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of the pharma, health, and regulatory space
Creative and strategic thinker who is able to take complex problems and address them with simple to understand solutions
Entrepreneurial spirit
Deep knowledge of marketing, media and data
