The

Executive Director of Ministry Operations

is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of church ministries, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively. This role involves coordinating with various ministry leaders, managing administrative functions, ensuring efficient and productive operations, and supporting the overall mission and vision of the church. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ministry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee the operational aspects of all church ministries and ministry staff accountability.Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient ministry operations.Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with ministry leaders to assess needs, provide support, and ensure alignment with church goals.

Team Management

Recruit, train, and supervise ministry staff and volunteers.Provide ongoing leadership development and support for ministry leaders and volunteers.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Administrative Duties

Participate in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for ministries.Participate in planning of church calendar and scheduling for all ministry activities and events.Work with Pastor/Head of Staff to create operational efficiencies and a staff organization that reflects the mission and vision of the church.Ensure compliance with church policies, legal requirements, and safety protocols.Ability to bring bold concepts and projects to completion.

Strategic Planning

Collaborate with the Pastor and church leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for ministry growth and impact.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ministry programs and initiatives.Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within church ministries.Help identify successful church trends to help grow the congregation.

Communication and Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact for ministry-related inquiries and communications.Facilitate clear and consistent communication between ministry leaders, church staff, and the congregation.Promote ministry activities and events through various channels, including church bulletins, newsletters, and social media.

Pastoral Care

Provide pastoral care and support to ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers.Assist with other duties as assigned by Pastor/Head of Staff.

Qualifications

A strong, demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of the church.Bachelor's degree in business administration, theology, ministry, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in church ministry, or other non-profit operations is preferred.Excellent organizational, administrative, and management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and church management software.Computer, social media, and tech savvy.
