Provide direct patient care in the clinic setting to both complex and general GI patients, facilitate patient flow, manage enteral tube, cecostomy and ostomy problems and other patient needs during clinic sessions.Provide care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, health care team members, and community agencies.Act as primary triage contact for patient questions and phone calls. Assist with prior authorizations, school forms/letters, and prescription refills. Collaborate daily with physician team and administrative staff.Provide comprehensive patient education for patients with new diagnoses as well as those starting new treatments.Identify patient educational needs and work with other team members on the development of educational materials and educational programs.Plan, organize and oversee policies and procedures designed to improve the patient/family experience.Qualifications

A BSN degree.1 year of pediatric experience required; we are seeking an RN with 1-3 years of RN experience.Pediatric GI experience preferred.Ability to travel to satellite locations. The RN will see patients at the Waltham and Boston Campuses.Excellent organizational skills and teamwork skills are required.Experience working with children with chronic illness.
