CBIZ is ranked as a Top 20 Largest Broker of U.S. Business (Business Insurance Magazine) and a Top 100 Retirement Plan Adviser (PLANADVISER).Essential Functions and Primary DutiesBuild and maintain client relationships, meeting specified client retention goalsCoordinate and direct assigned client activities within client services teamDevelop a strong understanding of the client's business and strategic prioritiesDevelop and execute the renewal and/or marketing strategy in accordance with client instructionsManage new client implementation processExecute solid analysis, delivering creative and practical solutions for clientsLead and coordinate the evaluation of marketingServe as client's valued advisor, building a strategic and personal relationship with key client decision-makersNegotiate renewal action with carriers based on client needsEducate clients on applicable legislation and market trendsClosely monitor clients; provide innovative industry solutions in line with client's business needs and goalsParticipate in the RFP process and finalist presentationsIdentify and propose additional services to existing clientsEnsure compliance with all regulatory guidelinesAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsBachelor's DegreeLife, Accident, and Health Insurance License for OhioExperience managing small-mid size groupsOpen Enrollment and renewal experienceMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredUp to 6 years of experience managing multiple clients of increasing complexity in the insurance industryMust maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to the field of expertiseTechnical knowledge relative to the industry and incorporating contract provisions, renewal, and claims processing, plan knowledge, and carrier fundingExpertise in managing clients with alternative funding arrangementsProficient use of applicable technologyExpert knowledge of state and federal legislationSets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate deliverablesDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyAdvanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsMust be able to travel based on client and business needs#LI-CM #LI-hybrid
