We are seeking candidates for the following locations: West Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale area, Philadelphia area, Columbus, Ohio area, Kansas City area, and New Orleans area. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and approaching auto repair shops that are potential acquisition targets throughout their assisted territory. The Business Development Specialist will manage Northern Rock's relationships with shop owners from the initial meetings through the closings of the acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with owners of auto repair shops. The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities:

Identify auto repair shops as potential acquisition targetsApproach owners of auto repair shops to discuss potentially selling their shop to Northern RockManage relationships with potential acquisition targets and serve as their point of contact with Northern RockNegotiate deals with auto repair shop ownersWork closely with shop owners to coordinate and manage the acquisition process from start to finishCultivate strong business relationships with key decision-makersProactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customersDevelop market strategies by researching lists of high-potential prospects

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business3+ years' of sales or account management experience (proven track record of successful business development or sales)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to negotiate deals and manage the acquisition process from start to finishStrong organizational and project management skillsWillingness to travel regularly throughout state(s) in assigned territoryExcellent written and verbal communication skills
