As a Digital Marketing Specialist at Ball Horticultural Company, you’ll get to showcase your talents by driving and developing email marketing campaigns and executing strategies that deliver engaging and persuasive messages to current and prospective customers.You’ll be working in a steady-paced, full-service, in-house marketing agency for a leading horticulture distribution and plant breeding company. You’ll design and execute email marketing campaigns across many brands. This position will collaborate across various creative professionals, including content creators, social media, video, artists, and events teams, to ensure timely customer emails are delivered to impact sales.We want you to be excited about the email marketing channel and keep our company on-trend and thinking creatively about digital communications. This role is a combination of Execution (50%), Analytics & Insights (30%) and Strategy (20%). Applicant must exhibit mastery in email marketing tactics and platforms, have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as being skilled at offering timely analytics and insights, to support all the internal and external clients of Ball Horticultural Company.A day in the life:You’ll collaborate with marketing managers on digital strategy and drive new tactics for digital communication. This is a client-facing role with the opportunity to build trusting relationships and shape brands in motivational ways.A majority of the applicant’s day-to-day will be scheduling, building, delivering and managing email marketing messages free from mistakes to B2B (some B2C) customer lists using automation software.The Digital Marketing Specialist will also organize and archive the digital assets needed for projects, including video files and thumbnails, graphics, photography, and more.You’ll create or collaborate on templates for the most effective open rates and reader engagement.Editorial calendars of timely messages will be managed by the Digital Marketing Specialist with direction from internal clients.You’ll monitor and report on the utility of each campaign; the email metrics and analytics will be harvested, evaluated, and shared with leadership, the client, and the account executive team.You’ll provide key measurable KPIs include click-through rate, conversion rate, list growth, ROI, bounce rate, etc.You won’t be working in a silo – everything you do will tie into other marketing efforts (social, print, digital, video) to support seasonal B2B ordering, industry or company events, customer education, new product launches, etc.RequirementsFor the best success and fulfillment in this role, your qualifications should include:Work experience (3-5 years) in email marketing strategies and execution using automation software (e.g., MailChimp, Benchmark Email, Constant Contact, etc.)Proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) for generating engaging graphics and messaging, while adhering to brand standards.Proven track record to meet deadlines and exhibit excellent project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously with varying deadlines and levels of complexity. A steady workload is normal.Regard for accountability and attention to detail, highlighted by sharing a best-in-class portfolio of successful projects as an email communicator.Must be self-motivated, able to work creatively independent on a project, while also exhibit fortitude for collaboration.Strong analytic skills and the penchant for using metrics to improve campaign results.Experience working with Adobe Workfront or a comparable project management software to track workflow, project timesheets, and team communication.Related Bachelor's degree preferable.Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Ability to anticipate and adopt innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.Develops and delivers multi-mode communicates that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Ability to consistently achieve results, even under touch circumstances.Can plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.Physical Requirements:In this role, you’ll:Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds for a small portion of your day.Ability to sit/stand 100% of the day mainly in front of a computer and monitor/screen.Ability to use hands/fingers 100% of the dayOur promise to you:We create excitement in the world of flowers and are the first choice for service in our industry.
