Position Description

Saint Mary’s Hall seeks a skilled and dynamic Director of Admission Outreach to support its robust admission program and various initiatives. Working collaboratively with the Admission Office, this individual’s primary responsibility is to drive increased engagement and interest in Saint Mary’s Hall and build partnerships throughout the city. As the fifth member of the team, the Director will help connect prospective families to the school, coordinate visits, engage parents, faculty, and students as volunteers in the process, host events around the city, and identify and connect with prospective parents and students at feeder schools, companies, and organizations. The Director will help craft compelling messages to promote the mission and values of Saint Mary’s Hall. This position reports directly to the Head of Admission and Enrollment Management. This is a non-supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Office of Admission, academic staff, and administration to support the admission processes for families and to align outreach efforts with overall enrollment goals and school objectives.Recruit prospective students, promote Saint Mary’s Hall to all constituencies, and communicate effectively with families about the value of an SMH education.Develop and implement a comprehensive admission outreach strategy to meet mission-driven enrollment goals and enhance the school’s visibility in the community.Analyze enrollment trends, conduct qualitative and quantitative research among current and prospective families, and use demographic data to identify new high-potential markets for student recruitment.Build complementary ambassadorship, messaging, and admission programming to support the recruitment of various target segments, which includes the management of parent volunteers and oversight of the student transportation program in partnership with the business office.Build positive relationships with parents, faculty, staff, students, and administrative teams to strengthen outreach efforts and provide ongoing support to those involved, ensuring alignment with the outreach program objectives.Build strong channels to effectively reach, identify, cultivate, enroll, and retain mission-compatible students in various target segments.Develop new and maintain current relationships with local community organizations, schools, and businesses to promote the school and establish partnerships.Continuously evaluate and report on outreach and recruitment strategies, use data to inform effectiveness and decisions around target areas, and adjust strategies and programming as needed.Plan and organize admission-related events and activities to bring new market segments into the admissions pipeline.Coordinate with the admission team to ensure the successful execution of events and provide personalized experiences for prospective families.Represent Saint Mary’s Hall at community events, educational fairs, and other outreach activities to generate interest and attract prospective families.Work collaboratively with the Director of Admission Programs and Marketing and the communications team to develop and manage promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and advertisements, to create digital and print outreach campaigns.Review and update the admission website and online databases annually to update content and improve organization as needed.Staff the Outreach Committee to facilitate and coordinate community connections and collaborations within San Antonio universities, business, tech, and creative industries.Potentially coach or advise based on previous experience and qualifications.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (required)Two years minimum experience with enrollment management, recruitment, or business development.Independent school experience as a teacher, coach, or advisor (preferred)Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointTwo years minimum experience with enrollment management, recruitment, or business development at the independent school or collegiate levelExperience with the Veracross database or other similar databases (preferred)Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (required)Understanding of how to use social media as an effective platform for engaging and communicatingA student-centered, collaborative, and transparent leader who is accessible to volunteers, students, parents, colleagues, and other key stakeholders and is adept at building relationshipsA leader with extraordinarily high expectations of themselves and the ability to inspire and motivate othersA genuine care for people, a desire to serve through a high level of customer service, and a passion for fostering diverse and inclusive school communities.Unquestioned integrity and an impeccable reputation, where commitments are honored and people are approached in a straightforward and personal way.
