The Opportunity:

The Senior Manager, Supplier Platform Merchandising will be responsible for building a strategic supplier roadmap, identifying new products and categories of business along with building a support team for the ongoing management of the Supplier Platform. As the Supplier Platform matures, this role will lead a support staff that ensures the continued success and growth of this new channel of business. The primary initial focus of this role will be recruiting, onboarding, and ownership of new suppliers and products to the Supplier Platform. This will initially be a hands-on role that will begin as an individual contributor managing day to day tactical work.

What You Will Do:

Supplier Platform Recruitment:

Pitch strategic business plan presentation for new suppliers on the opportunity and mutual benefit of partnering with the company

Provide business cases for the opportunity and mutual benefit that align with the financial goals of the Supplier Platform

Set up a supplier-facing toolkit that addresses the business processes and requirements for the Supplier Platform

Assist with system navigation and alignment for new product assortment visibility, review, and approval

Work with the Operations team to align on T&Cs for Supplier Onboarding

Align the cross-functional teams on the KPI’s and SLAs needed for success on the Supplier Platform

Supplier Platform Onboarding:

Work with the Operations team to identify and align on all onboarding requirements for new Suppliers, ensuring process finalization

Review platform-specific requirements and integration details needed for onboarding and launch

Understand and acknowledge expectations and guidelines for success rates on the Supplier Platform

Supplier Platform Ownership:

Full end-to-end process understanding of supplier offers, data and content requirements for assortment and product review

Manage specific features, and functionality and recommend platform enhancements through the development of business cases, product requirements, GTM plans

Align with Merchandising, Operations strategic business plan for growth, by category, for Supplier Platform and meeting requirements for supplier count, product offers and revenue generation

Longer term, this role will build a team to manage the day-to-day tasks of Supplier Platform business optimization and commercial performance monitoring

The Experience You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Merchandising, Business Development or related field

7+ years of work experience in e-commerce retail environment

5+ years of people management experience preferred

Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Experience in marketplace retail, e-commerce, and drop-shipment environments

Demonstrated experience building new products or business channels to scale quickly and profitably

Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
