As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Annapurna Labs, an Amazon company, is looking for a Software Engineer with experience in networking and software, to join the networking SW group. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, who can take ownership, and lead the development of key SW components for Amazon network cards.

You will take part in developing, integrating, and deploying cutting-edge networking technologies, starting from the identification and definition of project requirements, feature development, deployment and operational support, on a very large scale. As part of your role you will join a team of engineers who are developing software implementing AWS RDMA technology, for Machine Learning and High Performance Computing (HPC) customers.

Your code will run on millions of servers worldwide, as part of the Nitro system. Not many software engineers in the world have the opportunity to create code that runs at such a large scale. The role includes working closely with HW, FW, and SW teams all over the world.

Key job responsibilities

The team is responsible for AWS ML (Machine learning) and HPC (High performance computing) networking device SW.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong C and C++ programming skills- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering- Deep experience in networking protocols, mainly RDMA/Ethernet- Experience in performance optimizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of experience with embedded SW development- Experience with SoC development life cycle- Experience with virtualization technologies- Personal characteristics: Team player, highly motivated and committed, passionate about SW development, a fast learner, and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
