This position is responsible for the successful execution of planning, developing, and administering all aspects of the athletic department's creative and digital media strategy, including the staffing and production of in-house video board displays, assisting with digital social media strategy, and creative development of mobile and video content for all avenues of communications. This position will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining dynamic content that strategically enhances the Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics brand in all external communications. Reporting to the senior associate athletic director for marketing, this role works closely with the Athletic External Operations unit for day-to-day operations.Description of Duties and TasksLead execution of all digital content for LR Athletics by guiding the team to ideate, create, design, and execute content and strategy while assisting in the overall website and social media strategy.Develop creative content that enhances revenue streams through fan engagement, brand awareness, advertising, and public relations strategies in collaboration with the marketing department.Oversee a staff of student interns to develop the overall media strategy and create a foundation of success across all sports.Manage the creative development and deployment of digital, social, mobile, and video content for communications and branding initiatives surrounding LR Athletic teams and events, including hype videos, highlight videos, interviews, and specialty segments.Work with Athletics Marketing, Communications, and Game Operations staff to ensure a coordinated and strategic effort to increase the athletic department brand and fan engagement.Develop partnerships across campus with the communications department, student groups, and faculty to increase campus engagement and student internship and staffing opportunities.Serve on the athletic department’s administrative staff.Assist with sports communications coverage depending on department needs and experience.Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient knowledge of sound equipmentProficient knowledge of web-streaming equipmentExcels in Video Editing Software such as Adobe Premier Pro CCExperience working in a collegiate or professional sports digital media department is preferredExperience with Adobe Creative Suite graphicsAbility to work nights and weekendsNon-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity PolicyLenoir-Rhyne University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, citizenship, religion, political affiliation, age, marital status, sex, gender (including gender identity and expression), sexual orientation, disability status, genetics, pregnancy, or veteran status.
