Role Summary/Purpose:This is an exciting opportunity to join the Consumer Engagement team and top-talented marketers who are focused on transforming how we market to drive profitable sales growth, top of wallet behavior and deeper cardholder relationships across SYF portfolios.The Vice President, Lifecycle Marketing plays two critical roles. The candidate will be Synchrony’s Early Tenure domain expert responsible for leading the overall Enterprise Early Months on Book experience. The candidate will work collaboratively across portfolio teams and cross functional partners to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class cardholder marketing programs across the cardholder lifecycle for many Synchrony partners including select retail cobrands, travel cobrands and SYF Mastercard, working with the other lifecycle domain experts across the Consumer Engagement team as well as portfolio marketing leaders and cross functional partners. This individual will lead a team of marketers who support these efforts. This highly visible leader will partner closely with teams across the Growth Organization to develop and drive cardholder experiences that are proven and scalable.The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing acumen, built from experience creating and executing high-impact marketing campaigns, being well versed in best-in-class strategies and tactics and having a keen eye on the competitive landscape. You think strategically to identify opportunities to drive sales growth while rallying others to get behind you. You have a good understanding of Cobrand and/or general-purpose card marketing and you have an overall will to win in this space.This position reports into the SVP, Consumer Engagement.Essential ResponsibilitiesEarly Tenure Experience MarketingLead the development of Synchrony’s Early Tenure cardholder marketing strategies by building on SYF and industry best practices to unlock loyalty, engagement and spend at the onset of the cardholder journey.Be customer obsessed and represent the customer in all cross-functional conversations to ensure we’re focused on delivering value.Provide thought leadership to develop scalable, proven solutions, inclusive of Early Tenure guidelines, templates, toolkits, centralized campaigns, etc., for partner teams across Synchrony to leverage to drive consistency and adoption, and streamline execution.Partner with marketing functions, including Performance Marketing, GTM and portfolio teams to share best practices and consult on areas of opportunity. Engage w/clients as needed.Align with the Consumer Engagement team to integrate Synchrony consumer marketing initiatives into cardholder efforts.Co-Brand / PLCC Partner Lifecycle MarketingDevelop integrated lifecycle marketing plans that are aligned to Synchrony and partner objectives as well as customer needs.Lead team dedicated to planning, development and execution of marketing initiatives, based off best practices and annual plans, across the cardholder journey for multiple Synchrony portfolios.Understand the complexities and nuances of execution, compliance and client management to support your team through problem solving, influencing and driving partner & customer initiatives forward.Interact with Synchrony SLT and clients teams to “sell in” strategies and marketing plans, report out on performance, lead annual planning/Op Driver reviews for Lifecycle across multiple accounts.Testing & MeasurementLeverage a test & learn methodology to design experiments, test, track and uncover new ways to drive Early Tenure KPIs.Have deep expertise in marketing segmentation to ensure strategies and tactical efforts are customized for distinct cohorts to maximize results.Partner closely with Analytics to uncover cardholder opportunity areas to inform marketing strategies.Develop and maintain marketing use cases used to sell in strategies and best practices to other SYF marketing teams and clients.Innovation IncubatorSupport Synchrony’s continuous push to uncover new customer experiences and moments that delight by monitoring competitor and industry trends and capabilities.Serve as partner to many cross-functional teams to test new technologies and build experiences for strategic initiatives that have the potential to increase loyalty and drive business growth.Identify opportunities for the business to push the existing cardholder experience.Budget & People LeadershipManage budgets allocated to each client portfolio to ensure effective use of funds with a focus on profitability.Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports to drive career satisfaction, cross-collaboration, execution excellence, innovation, and deliver on Synchrony’s #5 Great Places to Work ranking.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 11 years of marketing experience.A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated marketing execution with exposure to consumer-facing programs, preferably in credit card or financial services industries.Ability to travel as needed – less than 25%.Desired CharacteristicsOutstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.Ability to develop, interpret, and implement actionable plans to drive business results.Consumer finance experience and related industry experience.Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and lifecycle programs.Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Demonstrated program management skills and a willingness to “get under the hood” to understand marketing execution at Synchrony.Deep knowledge of credit and retail KPIs to inform strategies and program success.Grade/Level: 13The salary range for this position is

130,000.00 - 210,000.00

USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility RequirementsYou must be 18 years or older.You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
